Set in northern Australia before World War II, an English aristocrat who inherits a sprawling ranch reluctantly pacts with a stock-man in order to protect her new property from a takeover plot. Yes, they took half-caste (not pure aboriginal children, although it doesn't matter, its still wrong) children until 1973.
I speak for myself and not for others, as an Australian, if anyone's truly Australian, it's the aboriginals, not us european white settlers.

Whatever. I think I know more about this than you. I mean, I actually live here and I've studied the history.

They bombed Australia, which means Australia was targeted.
They weren't like "Oh, look there's Australia, lets just drop a few bombs 'cause we feel like it."
They planned it.
Australia was a planned target.
I just realised. I don't actually care what you say. Australia is ten times better than whatever shithole you live in.

The Japanese were heartless in WWII, and they targeted Australians in general. Aboriginals are a part of that population, and so they were targeted.
I am proud to call Aboriginals neighbours no matter what, and I am proud of the land that they were a part of, and still are.

How DARE you. You don't know ANYTHING, you ignorant, insignificant little waste of space.
I would never defend what the Australians did, but Americans seem to forget what they did to their natives, too.
The film was an epic masterpiece, and that tiny aboriginal boy is twice the person you could ever be.
You would put all Australians into one category because of what a few believed in in just one era.
We're on a long road to replace what we stole from the aboriginals, but we ARE on that road.
