having all savatage's original albums, i have seen plenty of pics with a very fit jon oliva so no his condition isnt medical, it's more psychological and he can overcome it and get back to his previous shape should he decide to do so. my best wishes for jon and for seeing savatage again. all hail!

@Glorianna54 It has nothing to with eating Jon`s condition is medical he`s not a PIG at all, His mom is fat and his dad, You couldn`t be more wrong the opera is in the works, Jon is in the studio every day and it will probably will hit NY next year and yeah Pavarotti Jessie Norman, Monserrat Caballé and I can name 10 more...lol
some people are just so ignorant, don`t speak of things you know absolutely nothing about.

I too a fan of Savatage for 20 years or more am now myself 62 and overweight.
It's not as easy as everyone thinks to lose and yes, I agree we want to see Jon live many more years, but don't judge him until you have walked in his shoes. Skinny or Fat, he's still a genius. Just keep him in your prayers. Rock On Jon!

Jon has always done everything in the extreme: his magnificent talent, drugs, and now eating himself to death. We've already lost Chriss - I don't want to lose Jon to his food addiction. TSO can't do Beethoven's Last Night as a live opera because Jon, the voice of Mephistopheles, is too fat to play the role. Without him, BLN is bland. Jon - we all love you; please get your shit together and stay with us!
