HCJB Global Hands Responds to Peru Earthquake

We urgently need your prayers and support!

Wednesday afternoon the people of southern Peru were violently affected by an 8.0-magnitude earthquake. With over 500 dead, and another 1600 to 1700 people injured, the aftershocks continued well into Friday morning.

HCJB Global, in partnership with Samaritans Purse, sent a medical team to the area. Saturday, August 18, a group of 9, including national family practitioners; doctors of general medicine, internal medicine, trauma and orthopedics, ER and intensive care; a plastic surgeon, a pastor and a counselor were sent down from our hospital in Quito, Ecuador. They began work on Sunday, and will stay for one week.
