    My Mom saw and told me she liked Flash Gordon. I already dig sci-fi. Taking in a few episodes of Flash Gordon suits me as a kind of time travel. I mean taking in this entertainment I can think about the world of imagination and dreams my Mom grew up in. If a person's interested in how society was, changes, and is, these old movies contain rich information on intended and unintended levels.

    I watched this on t.v. as a small child -- there's an episode where someone is shoveling radium into an engine like someone shoveling coal into a railroad steam engine.

    Steve Holland, of course, was the body model for all those Doc Savage paperback cover paintings by James Bama.
