  • I don't know, but it seems like you're covering the speaker when you take it off the dock. And about the message, it's because you took it out and played immediately.

  • what is the name of the song sir?

  • I was getting this same problem and error and used a similar fix as Carnage0911. I took one of my business cards and used the edge to scrape all of the lint out of the docking port that had collected over the past year. The lint had gotten moist from high humidity and was shorting out the connector.

  • I have the same problem.

  • same problem w/ me. help?

  • @Carnage0911

3GS phone. That was it, I used a Q-tip, took most of the cottonie part off and dipped the remaining Q-tip in rubbing alcohol, I then inserted it into the headphone dock a few times cleaning off the senors and tried to clean the charging dock the best I could without jamming the Q tip into the port. that fixed the issue. That's probably why all the other people are saying insert your headphone jack into the port a bunch of times, that is probably clearing the debris.

  • that happen to me the problem is theres dust in the port that u charge or dock with get a needle or air can and clean it and it will fix the problem for sure

  • That is a rare Iphone

  • @noorie21t This message is for everyone. Please, as you make a comment, state what version of the iPhone you own/have with the problem.

I also had this problem. I have the 3GS. I had it for 1yr and problem started 9months into owning it.

What I did: I performed an update on it to 4.1 iOS (not the latest version). I got the same prompt for the next 2 days, then the prompt disappeared and my speaker's been working every since (its been 5 weeks now).

for more details of my fix, reply.
