  • Wonderful playing..very spiritual! I' ve heard 1000nds recordind of this sonata but..this one is special!!! Really touched me!

  • To kind words one replies with kind words and thanks.I thank the person who brought such music into the world and has made our lives more liveable-thank you JSB.

  • @raanan17

    livable.

  • EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE !! Your flute displays it's harmonics so richly! On your tuning A, I thought I heard a beautiful trumpet! Thank you two.

  • The amount of phrases in the first mvt. that are left unresolved(harmonically)is testament to the fact that even a man of deep faith can have moments of troubling doubt.

This calls for a sound that is able to convey these doubts, which means-anything but a pleasant flute sound.

The tuning As probably reflect my search for a focussed sound.

Listening back today,I am dissatisfied with moments that are a bit sharp-I had not yet zeroed in on where I wanted to be.

    Thanks for the kind words.

  • I am looking for a teaching position.I have taught for 34 years at University level.

  • @flutefantastic

Thanks for all your help for Hadeel. One day I hope to be able to hear her Bach.

  • You make every phrase expressive with all kinds of little nuances and lots of character. Not a dull moment anywhere! And where do you get the air to go on and on? Sometimes I think, "surely he'll take a breath before the phrase is over", but you just keep going to the end. Wonderful!

  • WOW. This interpretation is...WOW. Truly, you are beyond amazing!

  • You're continually searching how to make your musical expression have more impact---A TRUE POET/PAINTER/MUSICIAN...Always awesome...

  • Raanan, Such a thrilling pleasure to hear you play. I, too, miss very much your inspiration and guidance. Amir (Boston)
