THE APPARITIONS - La Lucesita Se Apagó (Rock Chileno)

The Apparitions was a short-lived rock band of Chile formed in 1966 which perfomed mostly covers of Cream, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. They only recorded 4 singles but had a major influence in the rock scene of Chile late 60's. The guitar player, Eduardo Gatti was called the Chilean Eric Clapton and after the band separated he joined the band Blops, one of the best rock bands of Chile. After the Blops, he has had a successful solo career with many albums. Well, not much information about The Apparitions exists, but The major success of the band was a Spanish-spoken cover of Percy Sledge's "When a man loves a woman". However, this time I've done this video for my favorite song of The Apparitions, a Spanish-spoken cover of Bob Dylan's "It's all over now, baby Blue", one of my favorite all-times songs. As additional info, members of The Apparitions were:

George Sommerhoff - drums
Phillip Milmine - bass

This copy of the song has a strong pop in the beginning but it's still a good copy considering the original singles of The Apparitions are not so easy to find in good conditions... Enjoy this song, I hope you like the video and all comments are welcomed...

Hola compadrichi, en realidad yo creo que el material está, lo que pasa es que nadie quiere compartir... Pero no importa, mientras haya gente como yo y otros más dispuestos a difundir lo que fue el rock chileno no hay mayor drama... Igual deberíamos ser muchos más, que no toda la gente conoce esta música... Y, obvio, debería ser más conocida... Saludos desde Chillán...

Hola Antonio, ¿qué podría decir? Gracias por tu comentario. Hubiese querido poner fotos del grupo, pero sólo encontré una. En todo caso, el valor de la música supera el de las imagenes y, en cierto modo, a pesar de ello, lo complementa, resalta un estado de animo, transmite un sentimiento, causa una emoción. Pensé en eso y tal vez, como has dicho tú, sea "nostalgia" la palabra clave, nostalgia por la canción, por el tema y por tiempos pasados de nuestras vidas que no volverán... Saludos...
