IMPORTANT NOTES:-
When you play against another Long Pimple Rubbers ( both side) player , please remember that both players will not serve any downspin , most of the time they serve is a top spin or side spin ball , the spin returned will be with some downspin , you can attack the return by lifting the ball at its highest point to a good placement over the table , chop the 3rd ball returned and then lift the 4th ball to a good placement again and so on.

As you can see this in this video Bill is a shakehand holder and he is a good chopper and hitter with his long pimple rubbers on both side of the blade .
I myself is a penholder and used to attack by lifting or scooping the ball over the net , as the spin returned is different each time , a chop is required as a set up before attack by lifting or scooping the ball.
Bill played mostly off the table and I played close to the table.
Bill attacked frequently by side spin and I attacked mostly by lifting and scooping .


When you receive a serve ( side spin, top spin or down spin ) , please return the ball to the OPPOSITE direction of your opponent's serve in a same stoke preferably, to avoid the ball going out of the table , this action is to counter and alleviate the spin or force generated by your opponent's serve, observe the hand movement of the serve and take appropriate action accordingly.

The Rating in this video , in my own opinion , is not an important issue, and most importantly is the spirit of the player such as Bill , he can still maintain a very high standard of Table Tennis Skill ( Long Pimple Rubbers ) in his age ( over 80 now) , he won the World Veteran Championship in 2010 in Mongolia ,China , he also won a Veteran Championship ( over 70 years of age) and Championship of Double ( over 50 years of age ) in Queensland in 2009 , congratulation Bill , thank you for making this video for me and I salute to you for your high spirit of Sportsmanship , you are a legend .

@johnbozi one of the tricks in table tennis serving with long pimple rubber is to serve soft and short with a no spin ball which may cause the opponent to return the ball out of the table or hit the ball into the net..
