Marc & the boys opened for Asleep At The Wheel Nov. 20, 2002 at Seattle's Experience Music Project Sky Church. Here Doug sings a classic Floyd Tillman tune, and Marc takes a hot washboard solo. Sharp eyed viewers will notice considerable overlap in personnel between Filé Gumbo and Okie Doke - Orville Johnson played on Marc Bristol's 1982 LP "This Feelin'", and has played many Okie Doke gigs since. He was one of the main fill-in led guitar players for Filé Gumbo (along with Dave Conant), starting with one of the shows recorded for the "Live At Folklife" Cassette (some of those tracks appear on the "Let The Good Times Roll" CD), and when original guitarist Mark Whitman had too many conflicts with other band, Orville get the call to be the main Filé Gumbo lead player. Doug first filled in on a gig with Okie Doke in late '81 or early '82, and was added for a show for the Goodwill Games in about '87 - he's been playing many Okie Doke shows since!
