Trey Anastasio remains on-stage for the rest of Fab Faux's segment which included a "Bungalow Bill" tease and "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And Monkey."
You bet. The whole Brooklyn album sounds almost unnatural when compared to some of the other 2004 performances, which, while not necessarily bad or sub-par in any sense of the words (no Phish music live or studio can ever be considered sub-par), were slower and sloppier by comparison. Trey rips his guitar up with reckless abandon on ASIHTOS, Moma, Maze, 46 Days, and BOAF like he hadn't in years. You could tell they really wanted to do that one right on camera and go out with a bang.
Phish Live in Brooklyn is where Trey shreds so hard! I honestly think that might have been one of his better performances while Phish was together. Anyone agree?
Trey shows his amazing ability to take any song and own it. I am so happy to see he's back (almost) from the bad place he was in for the past few years. He looked like he was having fun, which is integral to him playing well.
In this clip he puts on his old open mouth, closed eye head shake rocking back and forth totally getting into his groove...he could have played for 30 minutes. He was having fun....maybe one day hell play again as a member of the real FAB FOUR!
