I interviewed legendary hip-hop group Dead Prez on February 25th, 2009 at the Buskirk-Chumley in Bloomington, IN. While just a sample of the discussion we had, M-1 and stic.man touched on the topics of politics and how hip-hop relays their message to people. It was a pleasure to talk with these two educated musicians.

A longer video with the full interview and more concert footage to come.
Interviewer: Chad Quandt
Camera: Chad Quandt & Ed Wu
Audio: Ben McGill

  • You rap about your brain?

  • I can't help you serve.

  • I get you. Bling.

  • yo theres nothing wrong with dressing well and expressing style. thats a personal choice and not an indication of your politics.

  • @miguelrevomexi same, for some reason i don't like seeing them wear it.

but im pretty sure the chains aren't expensive and coated with diamonds

  • @flyboy4582 who gives a fuck these niggas 10x harder than Correctional Officers and trust fund baby- rappers we see today. DP know the streets and not niggas to fuck wit

  • @Ak47am what does nikka got averything to do with anything?

  • damn!! even stic.man wears skinny jeans!!

  • Not everyone is perfect and many people still grow as they move on, bro, but I do feel you...

  • Keep making music for a change, that what we all like i think.

Thats what make you different from other rappers.

Not to critisize your personalities, but why walk around with 2kg gold around the neck?

If youre really fighting against poverty, you would know that the money you used on that gold necklace couldve been spent on food for feeding poor children for a year.
