Sams Bail

Sam had been training for a few weeks prior to this and was feeling good after doing many handsprings in the gym. I warned him not to rush into these things and that the risk of injury wasn't worth it but he was having a good day and was on a high, thus decided to ignore me completely *sighs*

i can explain to people who are wondering what happened.When you go for a spring vault you have to tuck your legs in while you are in a handstand position, and kick out as soon as you start leaning over the object to land on your feet. He howeven did not tuck his legs or bend his arms to spring forward off the wall and just fell back, also notice that his hand are on the edge of the wall, so it is harder to go forward. i trained these on mats for weeks before even attempting one

Haha thanks but the problem isn't what he did wrong, anyone who is familiar with handsprings can see what went wrong. The problem is the fact he attempted it without enough training. This video was posted over a year ago I have no idea how you thought your comment would be helpful.

1 Be careful of what you say on the internet. What you said could have been taken atleast two other ways

2 What would you have us do? Run over and hug him? Call for an ambulance? Go to get ice? Sam was 18/19 when this happened and acted like it wasn't too serious. I'm sure if he had gone down and not got back up again we would have acted very differently, very seriously. As it was there wasn't much we could do for him, everyone just made sure he was okay and looked appauled at what had happened

oh i posted my comment for the people who were wondering what went wrong in comments. i saw a few posts saying things like this:

Perhaps if i was there i would should known this guys ignorance and lack of skill inevitabley led to his fall. But on the other hand is it wrong to show concern for a freinds well-being?

Also from the vid descrip, it seems like they were warning him, very sternly, that he shouldn't try it, and he did anyway, knowing the stupid risk. so hes not going to expect them to run over quickly, cuz they're all hardly surprised.
