Bother regiments - blues AND Lifeguards regiments mount the QUEENS LIFEGUARD everyday alternately. I know because I served in the Lifeguards mounted regiment in London from 1972 to 1977. P Edwards, ex Lifeguards.

you know when the sentry "slaps" the horse's neck is he just telling the horse that he's getting ready to dismount or is he saying good boy/girl to the horse?
