  • Is the chain, bolts, and nuts stainless steel or not? Also is it better to let the most of the air out of the tires when putting on the tracks and then airing them back up when done putting them on? Thanks

  • @TheGateKeeper2012 The chain is "Case Hardened" to keep it from stretching, not sure if you can do that to Stainless. The Nuts/Bolts were grade 3, so I never used them, I went with Grade 8 components.

I pull the valve stem out on the front and rear tires to help with getting the tracks mounted. Doesn't look like it in the vid, but the tires are flat.

  • I'm retired, on a pitiful retirement income (Gov't) Actually the tracks are fairly priced and yes I would love a set for my 8x8....sometime in the future. First my dentist wants to get paid.

Are the wheel extenders required? If so do they come w/ the tracks?

  • @Fuzzmanz Extenders not required unless you want to go wider, I think you can get up to 24" wide in 2 " increments. You could add 2 " to the outside of these and still be OK. If you added 2" to the inside you would need extenders/spacers. Max would be 4" added to the inside and 6" added to the outside.........unless I am mistaken, which is always possible. You can get Extenders/Spacers and Track Tuners with these tracks if you want.

  • Just for laughs and giggles, what did these tracks set you back? I like your shop too. My 96 conquest lives outside. Followed your clips for years and love your video adventures. Please keep them coming. Fuzzman

  • @Fuzzmanz Less than the Heavy Rubber Tracks from ODG, they are also lighter, cause less wear and tear, reduce/eliminate chain windup issues, ect.

Actually, depending on the machine you are putting them on, they range from about $2000 to $3000. The ones for a Conquest are about $2500 (plus tax and shipping). If you're interested, I might be able to sell you a set, or point you in the right direction.

  • @RockDoctor07 He`s out hunting he still guides 2-3k is enough for them i don`t think i`ll buy a set for mine just yet they sure do look flexable enough will clean out good .

  • @Tamper84 This one is a '98 I think (22" tires and 20hp Kawi), and the other one is a '04. The '04 has 24" Frontier Tires on it and a 27hp Kawi under the hood. Both have the open Diff, but personally I like them better than the Admiral Tripple Planetary.

  • @MrMrtiki No worries Garnet. I think they are very reasonable. Less than the Rubber Tracks, Lighter, cause less wear, and reduce/eliminate Chain Windeup issues. I will have to do some more testing, but have high hopes.

  • Oh those are going to chew in our kinda turf -I like how they go together looks like I have hope for mine are they reasonable - are they light seem quiet enough chain is cheap to replace watch the axles now lots of torque .PS- I can`t get ahold of Tommy but i`ll keep trying .

  • Looking good!!! From what I seen as soon as you put those tracks on, the machine becomes unstoppable!!! Oh and is that an older Argo with the open differental?
