Georgia Brown sings "I Concentrate On You"

Here's Georgia Brown the original star of the West End and Broadway productions of Lionel Bart's musical "Oliver!" Unfortunately Georgia never got to play the part of Nancy in the movie version of the show - that went to Shani Wallis. She had a rich and varied acting career which was sadly ended in 1992 when she died through complications of surgery at the age of 59. Her version of "I Concentrate On You" is rich, vibrant and dynamic!

There is NO ONE who sang 'As Long As He Needs Me' better than Georgia--INCLUDING Judy Garland. I do wish you (or someone) would upload that recording!

Apropos acting, Georgia was absolutely UNFORGETTABLE in the BBC's adaptation of Sartre's 'The Road to Freedom', which I saw as a young boy and have never forgotten.

Bless you forever! As mentioned in my original comment, Georgia's version of 'As Long As...' is better than any other I've heard (although Patty LuPone wasn't half bad, the quality of the YouTube video is abysmal).

May I be an utter pig and ask if you've got Georgia's recording of the old Marie Lloyd music hall hit, 'The Boy In The Gallery'? Again, LIGHT YEARS better than the recent BBC programme starring Richard Armitage and the YouTube snippet with Helen Shapiro.

No...I haven't got Georgia singing 'The Boy In The Gallery' and I'm not sure if she has recorded it commercially...but I'll certainly do some searching and let you know the outcome.
