RWJ is funny, but his audience is broader so even stupid people can watch it, while sxephil uses intellect to grab those interested in real issues and popular culture

@Thanatos3272 Good call... I don't feel like I need to pick either or. It doesn't seem to me like there is any drama between them. I think some viewers want there to be SXE vs. RWJ drama where there is none.

Yes! DeniseVlogs is great! I don't remember how I found out about StirFry either... but I've had a few online interactions with Denise and they've all been positive, IMO. She's one of my favs on here. :)

@mealie1613 I can see how people compare them because of the similarity of content and format... but really, it's all about personality. Millions of people wouldn't watch a boring person talk about the same material. People are drawn to the character as much as the content, if not more so in these two cases.

@euroknite Are you certain of that dollar amount? That can really add up... I don't have a problem with what RWJ is doing. A lot of mediums show other people's work and discuss/display it. I can, however, see how a person might be bothered by that. I wish he wouldn't use so many failblog videos, though, because I am subscribed to failblog so I have already seen those. Some of his commentary is funny but mostly I think it is his mannerisms and facial expressions that draw people to him.
