@GreenGreenGrasOfHome Why are people STILL doing Shakespeare? or Hemingway? Because the MATERIAL is TIMELESS and they relish the idea of doing their own versions of it, claiming it and making it their own. Van Sant suggests, in the DVD extras, that Hitchcock's style of film making is becoming a LOST art form because younger generations are not aware of it... That Hitchcock's style is just as fresh and provocative as it was 30 or 40 years ago.
