I read that this was mostly an animal rights type of festival, but your video contradicticts that. Were there opportunities for whale watching? Would it be worthing for a whale loving kind of person to go?

LOve whales? definitely don't go. Its a celebration of killing whales. There's plenty of restaurants near that area that sell whale meat. Of course, it's just the proper thing to do since they still kill all those whales for "research." yeah, whatever.
