14 people who viewed this video most likely forgot what it was like to be innocent children.

I love this song, remember it from when I was a kid (and I'm 22 now). If only more grownups would remember this. We're all people, regardless of where we live, what language we speak, what religion we follow, who we love. We all want the same things: Happiness, love, safety, peace. If we're going to teach this message to our children, we need to follow our own lessons as well. "We all sing with the same voice".

Very interesting point of view!

back in the old days of sesame street, i think the whole "let's get along" message was implicit. once sesame street got into the 80's, they pushed it too hard. then they introduced Elmo, and sadly, the show was never the same again. btw, RIP Jim Henson. Genius.

@fry21100 Is that a problem for you?

@fry21100 i only just realized that was in the song lol n i always sang that as a kid...wow...just goes to show.....

@MissPsychoisPsycho: Oh HECK yeah. I wish people would keep the political/gay issues debate off this video and save it for a forum that actually discusses potitical/gay issues. This is a kids' song about what the whole human race has in common--the fact tha we're fundamentally the same in spite of superficial differences. Anyone who reads other meanings into it has only their own imagination to blame.
-
@pattypopping: It's "in the mountains, on the beach". No mansions here, though both kids could be rural depending on which mountains/beach they mean!

The message here is quite clear: STOP THE HATRED AND PREJUDICE!!!
