@xxioryyagamixx That's a magnetic sensor and you need a graphing meter or scope for that. Volt meter set on AC is only averaged reading. It's OK as a preliminary check. You need to be able to view the wave. Let me know and post when you have more...

@ADPTraining well its a 2 wire sensor, one is the signal (wh.bu) and the other one is the signal return... but when i check both wires for referance voltage all i got was a 2.6V DC... i guess that means i have a short or something. also i test it by putting my metter on Ac voltage and back probe the pcm. as the car speed when up the voltage rice acording to the speed. i wish i could have a scope but i dont =(

@xxioryyagamixx The OSS codes are a reflection of the issue. Make sure and scope the signal wire. If you have a 3 wire sensor (Hall-Effect) scope the power, signal ref. voltage (5V) and ground. Wiggle the wires and graph or scope the reading over time. If all check OK, then you may have a mechanical issue with the trans... Often time a mechanical issue will output an OSS code. Good luck...

i have an 02 ford focus 2.0 sohc. i have a code P0720, 21 and 22, all refering to the output shaft speed sensor same a vss. sometimes i would loose the speed signal to the cluster and at times the transmission willkick into neutral. ive replace the sensor 2 times already and well ofcourse thats not the case. any ideas on how i can test it? i put a metter on acV and voltage will rise according with vheicle speed. any other iseas?

@hispanicuscorpus The VSS (speed sensor) is always close to the output shaft. This is normally the shaft going to one of the wheels. It's fairly easy to replace. It may not be that cheap though. Good luck.
hello i need some help ! we are fitting a for ka vss on a racing car to monitor the speed ! i have 3 wiers 1 blac, 1 red and 1 white .... can they be black = sensor ground, red 5v and white signal? thanks for your help as always

@noelvillager That sounds like a good guess. Whatever you do, don't connect 12 volts to the sensor. Unless it's a special racing sensor, but I doubt it. It may also be that the signal is the RED and the voltage reference (5V) is the white. You won't damage the sensor if you invert the wires. Good luck...

ADPT training i m subscribed not long time ago to see your videos i like them and i have aquestion i have a ford f150 2005 and just started giving problems with transmission slipping i think is the first speed last a little to start moving and suddenly jumps to to the speed also when i go like 55 mph and stop pressing the pedal of the accelerator to slow down the speed the engine sometimes accelerates by itself and then comes down again canyou give me an idea what could be the problem

@theASEtech Yes, it sounds that the tranny is staying engaged. It also sounds like a mechanical/hydraulic issue. The engine doesn't want to let go because the tranny stays engaged. Check simple things like fluid level. What DTCs are you getting? Post back with more...
