Grab your tools and lay them next to the hydrant, Grab the 6inch line wrap it around the hydrant and yell "Lay Line!" Then once enough hose is out open the hydrant, Flush it then connect the line and wait for the call for water. =P

Im assuming this is a a new rookie. I've been a volunteer for 3 years now and consider myself a rookie until I learn or see it all, since that is impossible I will always be a rookie. However.. aside that this is hilarious, obviously its training and hopefully this was a lesson well taught to the newbie prior to any working fire. Thanks for the giggles, maybe you can get one of him push starting a quickie saw..
