Or, OR, here's an idea: How about loading the magazine into the weapon and NOT racking the slide to chamber a round?? You've just achieved the same result, and I just saved you $24.99 by not having to buy a "safety bullet."

@ironbar66 That would seem to be the logical way to go except for a couple of things. Would you want to know if someone was playing with your gun like you kid? Kids pull the trigger to see if the gun is loaded. The Safety Bullet would lock you gun and you would know. What it you had an intruder who simply racked your gun. If you had two Safety Bullets loaded he would rack the first one load the second one. When he pulled the trigger his gun is locked. No device is perfect.

I think i will stick with the gunvault! Then i dont have to worry about my kids touching my gun or the action getting locked up. I would much rather shoot at an intruder than have to ask him to wait a minute while i clear my weapon. comend you on your efforts it just seems to be one of those products that is a solution looking for a problem.

@dakaham1 Glad you use something! For long term storage gun vaults are great. This is for the gun you keep beside your bed for instant protection. We had a couple here in Panama City that had a gun vault when three intruders kicked in their door. They got the guy as he was trying to get a gun out of it to protect his family. They beat him and his wife then robbed them. He now has Safety Bullets in all his guns. He said let them try that now!

Thank you Mike for inventing the safety bullet. I know about the tragedy that took place and led you to set everything aside to invent this product. I applaud you for actually doing something to make a difference. Don't let the detractors discourage you (I know you won't). Keep fighting the good fight.

I think your missing the point. If you found your gun locked get on your knees and thank God no one was killed with your gun. Someone who did not have access to it pulled the trigger, your not in jail, no one you care about is dead. If your gun is involved in an accidental shooting you go to jail, you lose your rights to own a gun. But if that were to happen - grab the rad that came with the package ram it down the barrel and drive the locking pin back in place and shoot the guy in one second

@virus139 As with any safety device PRACTICE with it. If anyone does pull the trigger on the Safety Bullet. Grab the rod, stick it in the barrel then come down on a table top with 15 lbs of pressure to drive the locking ram back inside the Safety Bullet. It is that simple. Compared to any lock made I can fire my gun with a Safety Bullet in it lock it up, unlock it with the rod and fire14 rounds in less than 3.5 seconds. Nothing is faster period!
