I heard this song when I went to kareoke with my friends and it just got stuck in my head... at the time, I didn't even know the title (since I suck at chinese) and a few months later I finally relented and searched at google w/ the phrase 'chinese song la er la er la' since that's the only line I rmembered... XD

The melody kept me hooked (unsurprising since I couldn't understand a word of it) and it stuck w/ me for months even tho I hvnt heard it since then.. how many artists can do that? :P

I really respect Jay as a musician, he makes soo unique songs, although he may not be the best vocalist out there, but he´s definitely one of the strongest songwriters and musicmakers! His songs have soul and heart, totally hooks the audience with that energy! I didn´t even see this guy when I first heard him, just like you, I only heard a song of his and didn´t even know who it was or what song it was, only that it was soo AWESOME!

No offense to all the Jay Chou fans. But I think it's kind of funny how he comes out with a album with all the traditional chinese instruments and theme after Wang Lee Hom comes out with one. At Wang Lee Hom had his own reasons to make song with the traditional theme.

I´m not too familiar with wang lee hom, but I´ve always heard jay´s music with some traditional instruments in it, be it rap or RnB, he mixes them all together. What I mean is that his concept hasn´t changed from the beginning of his career, not in my ears anyways...

@iamzaiamzaiamza So ... . Wang Lee Hom is very well known for mixing Chinese instruments and western music but doesn't mean that Jay Chou can't do that also. Jay Chou is known for composing his own music and that's what Fa Ru Xue is also. Maybe they have similar sounds, but Wang Lee Hom doesn't own the mix of Chinese instruments and western music. Both are exceptional artists and have their own uniqueness. Music is Music, maybe at that time .. Chinese instruments were popular in songs =/
