interesting what you say about timberframe buildings, you appear to be juming on the band wagon being driven by the concrete industry. Once constucted T/F give the same fire protection as masonry build as required by Law. what about the masonry flats around the building sites that caught fire, potential death traps i reckon........

Lots of lessons have been learnt since Collindale, and the other fires. Most timber frame companiea are adhering to the new papers written on fire safety in construction phases, just a few who aren't. It's the people deliberately setting fire to them thats the problem. How else does a very wet construction site set itself on fire in the middle of the night?!

What lessons have been learnt since Colindale?Obviously none
When are we going to wake up to the fact that hastily built timber frame buildings are a potential deathtrap during construction and quite possibly once built??
Well Iam glad no was was injured and as always the emergency services worked to their 100%....

I wonder what the real cause of this fire was, I'm just glad that there was no bad injuries, lets hope that those people that have lost their home will be rehoused as soon as possible
