I wish he had (or would if he could) remake The Love That Whirls. It sounds like it would have been one of the great ones.

Finally, last time I saw his work u had to rent it on flippin' VHS! Unfortunately, some of his films are no longer extant, including: Ferdinand the Bull (1937), Tinsel Tree (1942), Prisoner of Mars (1942), The Nest (1943), Escape Episode (1944), Drastic Demise (1945), The Love that Whirls 1949, Le Jeume Homme et la Mort (1951), Les Chants de Maldoror (1952), Thelema Abbey (1955)...

He's a director interested in filmmaking as myth making and Hollywood being the land of dreams and magic. Fascinating.
That's no way to watch these Anger films. They really need to be seen on these immaculate DVDs - beautifully restored with the imagery vivid and overwhelmingly colourful. His filmic eye is incredible!

Putting Bobby's bad behaviour aside, he's a great musician. His soundtrack to "Lucifer Rising" is just awesome!
