Ummm...someone else uploaded the movie on youtube as well and it does have the entire sequence in, with the huge dinosaur-like creature and everything, literally only the 'nest love scene' is missing.

What the...did they edit the whole sequence out? Now it makes no sense, how did they escape from the egg!?

It has been released to DVD in Europe, but as the original Gandahar. It's Region 2 and in the original French, with optional English subtitles. I'd like to see Light Years on DVD unedited. From Airelle's dreams here, it sounds like they recorded the script from the love scene.

though i was young when i first saw this movie, i do remember there not being any cut scenes. i remember something about a giant lizard creature that attacked the metal men.
i find it strange that this movie is censored. there are far more exploitive films out there that remained the same since the day they were made, ergo Heavy metal. i do not really understand what nagative effect this movie would have if that scene was not censored...

Maybe if they re-release it onto DVD, it would be intact, nowadays. Hopefully. Guess we'll have to just wait and see.
