I have the jvc kw-avx720 ! Do you know if i can do the same too? .. i´ve tried before ut unsuccessfully ... Do i need to convert my videos into a special format or something???.. or it´s just that my device can´t play video from usb?

Could you please tell me the make and model of your harddrive enclosure ? From the video it looks like "Tek" ? The ones I have looked at require another USB port to power the harddrive enclosure.

you can use any 2.5 HDD USB case...
my HD is IDE
