Here's a quick way to remove those plastics prior to installing a new radio in the US/Canada 2006+ Yaris hatchbacks. The video doesn't show how to replace the radio itself, but that's just a simple step. To keep in place the aftermarket radio, I used the two OEM metal side brackets that were keeping in place the OEM radio : the bolts and brackets fitted perfectly for the aftermarket radio.

  • can you do the same on a toyota yaris sedan????

nd where did you buy all the peices???

  • Looks like a pain in the ass. I think I will leave mine. Good work though.

  • The top piece around the instrument panel comes off as well. You want to pull that off before you remove the piece under it. Just pull it straight out. It's just clamped in like the rest of them.

  • WOW! finally I found exactly what I was looking for! thank you alot hystria1... very helpful!! :D
