I have in previous Ubuntu's got lot of problem with capturing the sound card with pulse,
With Karmic 9.10 It works like a charm, with the pulse audio controller.

    The art of music is not in focus in this howto, just want to show how I got my card work with pulse and capturing software. Think the music group is galaxee, Imo they made a pretty good album.

  • i did the exact same thing and i still have no audio and i'm not trying to record from an external mic like everyone else sooo far is assuming.......any ideas what might be the problem.....

  • hah, this works like a charm! ;) But what if i want to record both internal (video) and mic. Lets say i talk for 30 sec then play a 2 min videoclip. I can't bother you with a solution there? ;)
