Ksharp vs NHG (2001)

A classic that all oldschool CS players remember. This match was the championship of RiTD, in what would be the leagues last season. Ksharp took over this match and put his name in CS lore forever.

It was in January of 2001 and the setting was the RitD (Rumble in the Desert) championship match. The game pitted the heavily favored CK3 versus NHG. After a relatively uneventful first half which ended in favor of NHG with a score of 11-9, the game seemed like any other. It wasn't until the very end that it took its place in Counter-Strike history. It was during the second half in which CK3 had won 16-4 that Kyle recorded, as far as I know, the first Counter-Strike demo in American Counter-Strike history. It also featured him doing what he did best, playing a very aggressive game with his infamous AWP & Desert Eagle combination which became uniquely his own throughout the years and was a joy to watch. -Midway

ksharpe was a total legend back in the days, but I am comparing the quality of his frags and opponents against current day and age awpers. ofcourse that is not fair to him. had he played frantically until today he may have been the best CS player ever, now however, I would give that to the likes of elemeNt, potti, heaton, spawn, neo or f0rest.
