I saw this man live. A genius in the true sense. Too many jerkoffs on here making infantile comments. Heck! My nephew was going on about Ginger Baker - great drummer - and how he'd wipe the floor with anyone past or present. I showed him a few clips of Louie - in his 70's, and boy, he bit his lip and kept his cake hole quite. Then he said " Aw shit man, this guy is Fu@*in awesome. At least he knew enough about drumming to acknowledge a master.

Pioneer? Louie is well documented as THE guy who invented double bass...or the first guy to actually use one. He played rudiments with his feet while playing the beat with his hands. R.I.P., Louie....and from all of us double-bass players, THANK YOU.
