I can so relate to this! I am a visual person so much so that when it is put away and hidden I will forget about it, even favorite items. I also hate the clutter so Ideally I would love a room with all shelves except for one wall that has a long table for me to attack.
I have a constant battle with myself of trying new organization ideas but like djscrappiness I have found clear plastic containers to help. JoAnne's at Christmas had all these great clear plastic boxes that connect. Great!

I think the Virgo in me makes me try to be somewhat perfectionistic BUT.. I tend to get disorganized also when I'm multi tasking..if I get distracted that's all it takes.. lol.. thanks for sharing!

LOL, I hate clutter also, but have a mess. Was almost organized then moving more from downstairs to clean for holidays and now craft room has stuff on floor to put away. My table is only 4 ft long and I think I need a longer table. Is yours 6 feet? it looks longer. I barely have room for something on each side of a small workspace with craft mat. thanks for sharing :)

Some people are just visual creators - nothing wrong with that. Science has proven that people process information differently. As long as you are creating, things are good.

I like to keep my things visible, too. I use a lot of the Sterlite plastic drawer containers and try to keep everything labeled. I've tried every kind of storage system known to woman-kind and these seem to work best for me, especially since they come in so many different sizes. I have 3 of those wall shelves that you do and I don't even bother to use the ribbon holder. I take the dowel out and use the space as a shelf - mainly because I have waaaay too much ribbon to fit, even with 3 of them!
