Two Chinese Years ago was 1986, the Year of the Tiger, as it is now in 2010.
This was a very prosperous year for the Commodore 64.
I've created 20-odd second clips for each game as follows:

Bombjack
Flash Gordon
Gauntlet
Championship Wrestling
Chameleon
Crucifixion
Cyborg
Spindizzy
Equinox
Arac
Dragon's Lair
Boulder Dash 4
Commando '86
Crystal Castles
Heartland
Empire
Ghostbusters
Firelord
Warhawk
Jack the Nipper
Mikie
Super Cycle
Spellbound
Sanxion
Tau Ceti
Mission A.D.
Mercenary - The Second City
The Great Escape
V
Uridium +

Music:

  • You're welcome. You might have to wait a bit for the better quality version of part 2, though.

  • And finally, isn't it a bit ridiculous to assign a nationality and ownership to years? Years don't really even exist in reality, only as human concepts. But when we speak of a certain amount of time, it's just something that happened in reality, it's not something that can be owned by someone - especially an illusion, like a country (from space, you don't see 'china' - you see 'land of a planet'). So, instead of 'chinese years', we could talk about 'eastern calendar method', for example.

  • You could also call it "Esoterically Accurate Calendar Method" or something like that. But your statement is so wrong in so many ways it's almost scary. Why people speak of 'chinese years' is beyond me. Chinese may have popularized this method, but the method itself isn't inherently chinese, it doesn't need chinese to exist, and it's simply esoterically correct, whereas the western method is artificially created for 'convenience' instead of following the esoteric reality like the eastern method.

  • First of all, "two chinese years ago" was Buffalo's year (2009). Second of all, even if you count from 2010, it would be Rat's year (2008). Third of all, what you mean is two Eastern Astrology CYCLES ago (each cycle is 12 years). Fourth of all, it's not really 'chinese year', the Earth and time aren't nationalistic - it's more like "Correct way of calculating time and keeping calendar", which can be geographically attributed to most Asia, not just China.

  • good video, but i think better with the original sounds and musics ;)

  • Ghostbusters was 1984's Christmas No 1 selling game in some countries if memory serves. It definitely wasn't a 1986 release.

  • It would be a lot better without background music :P

  • @aybaybay42 Says on the info tab below the screen.

  • I dreamt I played Tau Ceti last night. So strange. I must have been round 3 then. Hmmmm.....

  • Footage of Flash Gordon! I remember wanting it when I was a kid. It was a budget title. I could never find it.
