In the spring of 1974, I was a WAVE at the Naval Recruit Training Center in Orlando, Florida, otherwise known as boot camp. Strange, I know, but I enjoyed the marching, and especially the marching songs. Here, I sing one of my favorites. I apologize for my singing. You should turn the volume down as low as possible. And, every time you sing "left," you should be on your left foot. Ditto on the right.

  • I remember the lady recruits singing this when they marched at RTC Orlando. One of the best cadences I've ever heard.

  • @TVrawks301 Seriously, get a life? What are you 8 years old! In any case, the point is that females only rarely have leadership qualities. Ask some of your public-schooled, air-headed female friends, even those dolts will admit they would much prefer being bossed by a male than a female. (Not to mention the difference in general intelligence.) Women just have too many "issues" and react EMOTIONALLY to events (much like you have with your insults).

  • @TheDonnaEl Figures...there's always SOMEONE thinking that women commanding men is an abomination. That is such a stupid statement! In the military, t's not about who commands who. It's about who is the best at getting the job done and who has the best leadership qualities to make sure things get done.

    Seriously, get a life.

  • Women should only be nurses or do clerical work in the military. And it is an abomination for a female to command ANY group of men.

  • I am Anita, and this is my video. My youtube name has changed to "missusmoon." Thanks for all your wonderful comments! As for you -know-who, why anyone would "ask" such a rude and disrepectful question is a mystery to me.

  • @DIABHAILL & i'm enlisted in the navy so i wouldnt talk about the women or the men of the navy GEEZ!! ugh.

  • @DIABHAILL look here, that wasnt an ignorant remark! i didnt know, just what someone told me, i said correct me if i'm wrong but you aint gotta act like that. thank you!

  • @yoieatbacon You are DAMNED WRONG!!! WAVE stands for Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. Your ignorant remark is an insult to these fine ladies that served their country. My mother was a WAVE in WWII.

  • This is very well done. Thank you for your contribution to the United States and the Armed Forces ladies. I salute you! As a male, I worked side by side (Photomate) in the late 50's with many Waves and will always hold them in the highest esteem.

  • i heard a WAVE, was a slut in the navy...?!? correct me if i'm wrong.
