  • wow, thanks for this... stunningly beautiful

  • Thank you - it's simply wonderful!:):)

  • This is Grieg's "With a Water Lily" (Med en Vandlilje) opus 25, no 4, lyrics by Henrik Ibsen, sung by Anne Sofie von Otter.

    Lyrics (English translation):

Look Mary, what I bring you,

    A flower with white wings.

    It floated on quiet currents,

    Dream-filled, through spring.

Would you like to dedicate it to your home?

    (continued)

  • (English lyrics completed) Then fasten it on your bosom, dear Mary, And still, quiet waves will gather beneath its leaves. Beware, dear child, the currents beneath quiet waters. It is a dangerous place for dreaming, For a monster lurks below. Lilies play on the surface, But deep down the monster is lurking. Look Mary what I bring you; A flower with white wings. It floated on quiet currents, Dream-filled, through spring.
  • Edvard Munch was associated with Berlin Bohemia ( along with Strinberg and Dagny Juel, the Muse of most of his paintings. He was my top artist when I was 16, and still is!
