@yoshting You are right about one thing: everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But I will say that to claim you know a lot about music? What does that even mean? You like what you like and that about it unless you are a trained musician- and then you are talking about something entirely different. I am 45 and grew up on music alone -that allows me to claim I know music. I got dragged to clubs by my father in LA. Believe me, I know music. We can agree to disagree and call it at that.

@1swede1 It was the same back then, PJ and bands like that have always been what's known as 'alt' music. I'm afraid you just don't seem to know very much about music at all if you think that back in the 90s people walked around all over the place hyping up Nirvana etc. They would've been banging on just as much about the pop music of their day as people do today. And by the way, you can keep saying that "You know I am right" line, but you're wrong. I disagree with you, is that too hard to get?

@yoshting Actually, yes it is. Emmy the Great? That's your litmus test? Randomly select 100 people and maybe, if you are lucky, 2 would have every heard of this person. Ask those same people about Gaga or Jay-Z? Bet its 75% at minimum. My point is that in its prime, PJ and other true artists were being exposed to the general public. Absolutely not the case in modern, mainstream music. Again, its a shame I am right, but you know damn well I am.

@1swede1 That's simply not true. I was at a gig (Emmy the Great) when I got your reply on my phone and I considered it while I was sitting there, and it's just incorrect. The music you're complaining about it called 'pop music'. Stuff like Biber, Gaga and whatever else you're probably citing all existed back in the early 90s too y'know. There are so many amazing bands out there today, and if you know so little about music you think that the passion and love is gone... I truly pity you.
-
@yoshting - Gotta disagree with you. Music today is being "created" in a formula to sell to the masses. To artistry and the love and passion for making music is in very short supply these days. Admit it, you will feel better.
-
@1swede1 I am the biggest PJ fan you'll ever find... But get over it, there's plenty of amazing stuff coming out these days. Shame to everybody who voted this ignorant comment up.

Wow, nice sound, real feeling.

What year was this?

To all those who think that what is being crapped out these days is music. Listen to this: This is music. This is also called talent.
