Hyundai Genesis V8 vs 370Z

A co-worker just got his 370Z about 3 weeks ago and as we were leaving 2nd shift we decided to run them. We both had our ESC (VDC for Nissan I guess) off and we both spun like crazy. I think I throttled off around 140. I ADMIT DEFEAT...but Its hard to believe that a HUGE, HEAVY, BOAT with a measly 375hp V8 actually ALMOST beat a true sports car. WOW! Ill take that any day! His 3rd gear was STRONG but you can see that when he hit 4th we kinda evened out a bit. I would imagine things would be different had we both not spun...but if I left my ESC on, I would have been dead at the light. Anywho, ENJOY!

This and the comment above is the typical feedback you get from somebody who wishes they own either of the cars in the video, yet dont understand the amount of money they waste when they buy an American made vehicle. I laugh all the way to the bank come time to trade/sell where I may lose 10% or less and they lose 25% or more the day they drive it off the lot. I work hard for my money and I choose NOT to throw it away on KNOWN junk! Us HICKS are educated rather well buddy.

For what? I lose too much money the day I drive it off the lot...and its what everybody else in this country is stupid enough to own. "Government Motors" Why pay the government more than I have to?

Funny thing though. I just traded in my Genny for a 2011 Tundra TRD Sport (soon to be 504 hp). And what makes it funny is that last night I saw a Toyota commercial that said "What is MORE American than an F150? The Toyota Tundra!"

I've always been an American car fan and I bought a Genesis Coupe 2.0T... I like it but I really wish I got a Camaro instead. Hyundai is pretty good about lying about gas mileage. I think I'll give them another chance and use that 10% loss on a 2013 Gen Coupe. :)

@TheZeedrifter You could but it would be a waste of money unless you just like shifting gears.The automatic srt8s are faster than the 6spds.

@svt89 yeah they are slow, do you know if you can swap the manual tranny from the challenger over?? the 6.1 engines are the same right? so the bellhousing should fit, but im guessing you would need a custom driveshaft huh?

@TheZeedrifter Raced a automatic camaro ss and a 6spd there slow.I test drove a new camaro ss couldnt beleave how slow it was my charger wieghed 4168lbs with me in it camaros are around 3900lbs not much difference.And the new charger will bring out the 8spd auto no 6spd yet.

@svt89must have been a shitty driver cause your charger weighs what? 4300? and the camaro weighs 3800. also, why did dodge make muscle cars that only have a automatic option, the challenger yeah, but the charger... do they offer a manual charger yet??

@TheZeedrifter Idk i paid 22k for a used charger srt8 and has no problem walking on the new camaro never ran the 5.0 though.
