This clip has been taken from the BBC's Rotary Young Citizen Awards, won by Charlie Hogg, who two years ago set up the charity, Go Help. It was Go Help who ran the first ambulances to Mongolia rally and two years on, the BBC have re-visited the winners to find out how their organisations are progressing.
This year's rally is unique because six decommissioned ambulances have been kindly donatd to Go Help by the London Ambulance Service, and come July 2011 the chosen teams will be attempting to drive the ambulances over 8000 miles in convoy to the capital of Mongolia, Ulanbataar. This demanding but nonetheless exciting journey will deliver these much-needed ambulances to Mongolia to help set up the capital's first ever ambulance service. As part of this amazing rally, the six ambulance teams will be fundraising for MERU, the LAS Chief Executive's chosen charity and Go Help, who support the work in Mongolia. In fact MERU's own Volunteer Co-ordinator & Outreach Project Leader, Vicky Cable will be taking part!
