The old Testament talks about a Messiah. Jesus was the Messiah. Jews do not think that Jesus was the Messiah. Christians believe that when Jews convert to Christianity (as they believe they should) they become perfected, they are in a state of imperfection the old testament told them there would be a messiah and they denied him.
