Our inner child... the kid in you...

There's something to be said as to why we should fan the flame of the kid in us. I'm a proponent of it. Why NOT continue to have fun? Since I'm also a proponent to naps, I question why we stopped taking them after kindergarten.

Anyhoo...

I love doing some of the same things I did and certainly wished I could have done when I was younger. Especially nowadays because kids toys have well, evolved, shall we say. Lego isnt just Lego anymore. Video games aren't just that either.

My 5 year old nephew Mattie talks about Star Wars the Death Star (I can attest he loves ALL of his Star Wars toys old school and Clone Wars stuff, I love them too. Mattie's a Vader fan while I'm Yoda-er.)

Although I have many favorite kids toys, one of them is made by Goodie Games called Cookie Shapes. I bought it because the cookies looked real, and I love cookies!! LOL

When Mattie and I began playing the games (5 to choose from!), I enjoyed it even more. But perhaps the ultimate game is shooting the cookies into the jar from far away. Like slam dunking cookies in milk but not. I think you get it.

What is your favorite kids toy?

See you at the playground!

  • Waaay back when I had this James Bond 007 attache case with all kinds of violent plastic replicas of a gun and knife - you know, the stuff boys just love and would be banned today. The case and gun shot little plastic projectiles. Yep - definately would be banned today, hehe.

So cute your nephew - eh, watch out. he might go into politics. ;-)

  • Wowzers. Intense indeed.

LOL, politics! Heh! Wonder what his parents would think about that... ;)

  • hmm...well I loved cars and used to casually collect Hotwheels of either real cars I like/d or ones that just looked cool. Still have most of them mind you. The other thing I liked was playing fake army with popper cap guns. :D

  • Kewl! Are they in good condition or marked up due to play crashes? :)

  • my favorite was transformers when i had thrm , the originals were fantasstic

  • It seems the ones nowadays are even more complex. Or maybe that was just Burger King's Kid's Meal toy version, heh.

  • I had this james bond attache case also. I remember it came with a secret red transparent reader and that the attache case shot white plastic bullets about 2 inches long, and it shot with power.

  • Most of them are in out of the box condition, but a couple of the 1st ones I got before I started collecting them had a little bit of paintwork damage.

  • Googled that too ~ Never heard/seen them before, but they look like they could be quite entertaining ~ Kerplunk looks like pick up sticks and an apparatus. :)

  • Suppose you don't remember Lincoln Logs by any chance...? I <3 those.

  • (Googled it; didn't know it by name) Those are fun!

  • thank ya on behalf of his parents :)

  • LOL Those Danish peeps are kewl. I love pastries too, heh.
