why 2?

Because there is an upstairs and a downstairs plus a basement and attic. Half the house is a vaulted ceiling of 26 ft. One system cannot cool that area, so we have a smaller system for the 4 rooms upstairs and the larger system for the entire downstairs. The attic and basement are not cooled. The small system is in the attic blowing down. The larger system is in the basement blowing up.

@scaredrosey We have one unit for the main floor and a smaller unit for the upper floor which was actually the attic (12 pitch roof on a cape). The two together also help to cool the living area which has vaulted 26 ft ceilings.

The saddest part of all of this is that this was supposed to be a professional job for a lot of money. We will be "do-it-yourselfers" from now on. I just feel bad for the honest repair business owners who lose business because those of us who were ripped off will never trust anyone else again.

Thanks, but this was already fixed. I only posted this as proof if I needed to take the repair guy to court cause he charged me $750 for this crap job.
