would this be a good fly for sea trout and salmon cruizing the shores in saltwater,

im planning on doing some flyfishing in the saltwater for sea trout and what ever may want to take my flies so i was wondering if you could recomend some flies!

Hi FisherManStan88,

It would certainly take seatrout but the fussy salmon would be a bit harder to encourage to take but I'm sure it would if they were looking for something..When I fished for seatrout in the sea the best flies for me were Teal Blue and Silver, Silver Stoat, Sweeny Todd, Dunkeld and a rabbit pattern I have on youtube..But we don't have any seatrout in our estuary's due to salmon farms which spread sealice along our shores...

I wouldn't say that it was the best one that I ever tyed but I know the fish liked it as it caught a few. I could tye a hundred of these just as I would like them to look but when you go to film the tying of it there's always something not right...

that is terrible to hear davie!!,

there are a lot of those around where im going too more mainly rainbow farmed at sea, but a few cages break loose every year with farmed trout n salmon and then when those things break out they eat everything in sight and become monsterous!! besides the hope of catching some seat trout like i have before im sure your deadly flies will bring me some luck with the escaped Frankenstein monster fish too!! thanks so much dave will make sure2 watch more of ur vids
