So many people hate on Season 2. In fact it is by far THE best season of the epic series! At first...I was like "wtf". Watched it to the end as it originally aired, and was floored. Amazing season. Watched the whole series.....a few times since. Season 2 is a masterpiece. God I miss this show.

Its like this song was written for The Wire. The police (McNulty especially) develope a certain affinity with the criminals theyre chasing. He lives through Stringer; chasing him keeps McNulty going, its the centre of his life.

Reminds me of 70s NYC Vandal Squad: they were meant to catch graffiti artists, so had to see their paintings, in the end they actually liked some of it but stil had to catch those responsible
