FYI - SHE WAS PREGNANT IN THE VIDEO! Hence the belly :-) Riding a competition mare that is used to being fit and conditioned does not hurt them. In fact any vet will tell you that light riding on a pregnant mare actually benefits them. Light riding - like walk and trot. Not galloping or jumping of course

"The Gypsy Queen" is America's best ambassador for the gypsy breed. She is also one of the best representations of the breed and is hands down one of the top mares in the country. She is well known for her extraordinary amount of hair and mane. She is also a top producing mare and passes on her gorgeous head, hair, gentle disposition and superior conformation to all her foals.
The Gypsy Queen" is a daughter of Panda Rose from the sought after Rose Line. We have a 2010 red & white filly & 2011 red and white Colt by The Gypsy Queen and sired by the great LENNY that is for sale and they are both spectacular of course! The Queen is also in foal for Clononeen Mull of Kintyre aka "Romeo" for a May 2012 foal. For more information visit: www.thegypsyqueen.com

THE SONG IS "My name is Lincoln" from the The Island Soundtrack

  • She is beautiful!! I rode my mare when she was in foal up until 8months and we hacked out and did fun stuff as a break from all her hard work, the foal is almost 2yrs old now and no complications happened. They aren't china dolls it's lovely too see people with common sense xx

  • @xXeMokiDXxMCRXx - Thank you. I agree 100%. The work is good for them. Keeps them in shape. People don't understand that

  • @trickhorses It is, when we ourselves get pregnant do we lock ourselves in our rooms and not come out, go out with friends, keep fit etc? We sure do and doctors encourage us to continue exercising whilst pregnant as it is good for mother and child, but people think they know everything nowadays so what can you do?

  • @xXeMokiDXxMCRXx - I know exactly!

  • Can I ask, doesn't she pull any of her tail out when she gets up from lying down? She is an absolute stunning mare! Bet she has the most gorgeous foals!

  • @B96P03 - No. Her mane and tail are always braided

  • we had a mare at the barn drop a foal out in the pasture in 12/30/11, no one knew she was preg. stupid vet didnt know either. but the owner put her on one handfull of grain a day, hoping she would loose weight, she did, when she still jumped her, and everything. We all felt so bad that we didnt know she was pregnant, good thing was, there where no problems with the baby! shes all heathy ( both of em) out inthe outdoor arena untill the baby is weaned.

  • what a beautiful horse you have!
