Well as promised, I made a bass boosting tutorial for you (:

Audacity: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.12.exe

LAME MP3 encoder: http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/Lame_v3.98.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe

Whats up Youtube! Today I will show you

how to bass boost like me (:
You will need Audacity and LAME to export song as Mp3 (download links in

description) and a song you want to bass

boost. I will use How Low by Ludacris.

1) So first step is to drag the song you

wanna bass boost into audacity 3 time. I

have already done that.

Track 1 will be pure bass, Track 2 will be

kicks, and Track 3 will be the treble.

Track 1:
2) Select track 1 and click on Tracks/Stereo

track to mono.
3) Select Effect/Low Pass Filter. Change

Rolloff to 48 dB and cutoff to 80.
4) Select Effect/Amplify/Ok.
5) Select Effect/Equalization. Set the Values

to the following:
20hZ - 6.7db
25hZ - 7.9 db
31hz - 9 db
40hz - 10.1 db
50hz - 10db
63hz - 9.8db
80hz - 7.5
and then hit OK
6) Select Effect/Bass Boost. Change

Frequency to 60 and Boost to 1.
7) Repeat step 3.
8) Change the gain to about -2 if you want

minimul distortion.

Track 2:
9) Select Track 2. Click on Tacks/Stereo

Track to Mono
10) Select Effect/High Pass Filter.
Change Rolloff to 48 and Cutoff to 80
11) Select Effect/Low Pass Filter. Change

rolloff to 48 and cutoff to 100.
12) Change the gain to anywhere between

5dB and 8dB. This is totally up to you. I'll

put mine at 8dB.

Track 3:
13) Select Track 3.
Select Effect/High Pass Filter.
Change rolloff to 48 and cutoff to 100.
14) Select Effect/Amplify.
I will set the New Peak Amplitude to -5, but

you can set if to whatever you want. This

step is completely optional if you dont

wanna lower the treble volume.

So now that everything is done lets listen to

the whole thing! Sounds pretty good (:
Don't mind the bad quality Audacity plays

when your playing it. Once you export it, it

will sound WAY better.

The Last step is to export is as MP3. Select

file/Export File. Click options. Change

Bitrate Mode to Constant. I like setting the

quality to 320 kbs, but you can set it to

whatever you want to. Channel mode can

be either or. Your gonna want to add "(Bass

Boosted)" at the end of the file name so you

dont get confused.

But remember that every song is different,

so you might have to tweak the steps a lil

bit to get the desired boost.

Well thank you for watching. Dont forget to

comment, rate and subscribe (:
