This is the premier of my first full band composition, "Destiny" at the CU Composes concert on 21 February 2010. The concert was a chance for students, like myself, and faculty to show off their composing skills. The concert also featured works by fellow student, John Wisman, as well as works by faculty members Ms. Laura Zamzow, Mr. Casey Cangelosi, Dr. Timothy Mainland, Dr. Evan Mack and Mr. Matt Browning.

I was inspired to write this because I am a huge fan of John Williams and the Star Wars Saga. The piece represents the internal struggle between good and evil within one person.

The piece is performed by the Concord University symphonic band (Athens, WV). I want to give a big thanks to the band for doing such a wonderful job on bringing my piece to life. I also want to thank Ms. Laura Zamzow, our band director for giving me the stage and helping me achieve my dream to hear my work performed live. I would also like to thank Dr. Mainland for guiding me through the composition process.
