I've made up my mind. My next purchase will be Avid's Eleven Rack.

i think the same thing..it always sounds kind of fake. i recorded guitar yesterday pluging in and it sounds kind of whack..

nice marketing...too bad it sounds very sterile, digital and not realistic. keep trying though digi!

hey you all are forgeting one important aspect about pro tools. Yeah midi is great and all. However, im not a midi guy. I record bands and live instruments and for that i havent found a daw that has worked better for my needs. Also with pro tools the fact that it is so popular weather you like it or not gives you a great deal of resources. For example the ability to take classes at your local community college.

hey son, i stopped reading your comment as soon as i saw your first sentence. you arent worth my time & i have no need or desire to convince you of my credentials in the music industry or what i do for a living. i dont give 2 shits if you dont like protools. its what i use & i've had only rave reviews for many years.

Dude..your just ignorant.
What..are like 16 years old? So 4:3 TV's, Mp3's, and VHS were the standard because they were better? You know nothing about how waves are rode. PT was peddled to Pro's in masterful way but the only feature they had over the competition was marketing.
They have been behind Native DAW's in every feature for years and even looked like DOS--like a 3rd grader drew the interface--until a few years ago.

Pro Tools 7 Midi great... You can't work with simultaneous Midi Windows just minimizing, and you still think it's great.
"Oh yeah, I really like Editing midi just between 2 audio tracks. I only need 2cm of workspace"

well this is just lame. theres no reason for me to try to convince you that pro tools midi capabilities are great- i personally get a lot out of it. if you know how to use it right , you'll get a lot out of it to.

So, if midi capabilities were that fantastic in PT7, why did they copy Logic 8 workflow in PT8?
ProTools is the industry standard. I just love working with it.

pro tools is the industry standard because there's simply nothing better out there & if you know how to use it properly, its midi capabilities are fantastic. i have NO problems with it whatsoever
