I heard it only used for a total of 13 days, with only 48 shells being fired. It took 25 trainloads of equipment, 2,000 men, and six weeks to assemble the monstrous gun at the firing location.

Dear Santa...

@Alaska1925 the gun had alot of power but it had a secret it shot the shell so high it would go to the earth's atmosphere and since there was no air resistance there the shell would travel longer distances
-
but... so, the longer the gun, the further the shot goes, right? because, it has no sense if this is not true!!!

I heard that on some battle ships, if u were on deck below guns when they were fired, your teeth could become loosened and your ears bleed!

ALLE FUR DER VATERLAND! Lol

Yup. It is really more of a carry over from World War I, just like the battleship, that outserved it's usefulness.

Everytime it shoots, it breaks.

I guess so, but their high cost and limited transportation and potential of rail sabotage kind of make them obsolete.

@sickleandsuckle But their were benefits also. You could mobilize and get a battery across the country in a few hours. Thats a massive tactical advantage.
