Seattle City Light released millions of cubic feet of water putting on a spectacular display near Diablo Dam and lake. The effort was an attempt to clear a gravel bar which reduced hydroelectric generating efficiency and threatened flooding of the town of Diablo

  • No loss of water level for anyone. Dams keep river filled all year around because of storage, even in summer.

  • I saw plenty of water for kayakers. Though...would you like to be a kayaker paddling down a river and get a sudden *STOP* when you slam into an unseen pile of rock underneath the water?

  • That guy pronounced the name incorrectly. It is pronounced, "dē-ä'blō."

It means devil. Real good name for a dam.

  • A town called "Diablo" with sewers that flood? ... Apt.

  • Diablo is a Spanish word...DEE-OB-LO

  • what a name! interesting!

  • it would be difficult to underestimate how important these releases of water are. Mother nature has floods for a very important number of reasons.

  • @theshyguitarist Yeah, and his brothers Mephisto and Baal would be pissed at that reporter.

  • @malik1234123 No, it's named after Satan. Idiot.

  • @jmr1068204 if you were kayaking and the rocks were underneath then you'd float over them!! worse that would happen is you might feela slight scrap as u passed over them!

  • Damn is a bad word! :( You shouldn't say it

  • That would be sweet to take in a zorb
