@PCXPBOY the so call "standard" you are asking about would be a "resistive touch".You would find that tech on many cheap platforms. Capacitive would be the way to go if you really want to boost your day to day performance when using touch screen enable laptops. See it this way. capacitive is, similar, equal to the tech used on a iphone or ipod touch screens,expect for the multitouch features. Resistive is equal to the Chinese touch screen enable phones that are sold on eBay or on any website.

Great! All they years of me yelling at my kids to keep their fingers off the screen... I think this is a very bad idea. Why would you want to touch the screen?
